visual identity and business cards
The French-based artists Collectif Primavez commissioned me to make a new visual identity for the collective that would represent a new stage through a new logo and business cards.
How to represent such a diverse group of people? What unites them? I decided to choose two elements, which I would later paste to form one single character. It had to be an inanimate object on one hand and an animal on the other, the total functioning as a recognizable icon that would show the broad qualities of this crazy artists.
All of them have an overflowing energy, they are pure caffeine, so as an object I thought of a coffee maker. As an animal I decided on a bird, since during their shows and due to their disciplines they are a lot of time off the ground. The union of these two elements form a unique and candid being that represents his sense of humor always seasoned with a very absurd surrealism.
The manual typography is not very premeditated, I think it pairs well with the innocence and freshness I was looking for. Later I adapted the logo to two more versions so that it would work perfectly on non-flat backgrounds, horizontal or vertical spaces.
