The assignment was to create a new branding for a Rioja wine. This included a name, new logo, packaging, web and the identity based on simplicity, elegance and fashionable style. The name “Correveidile” (Gossipy, rumorgranger) came one day by chance randomly on a brainstorming exercise when I was trying to achieve a powerful name. Both sonority and meaning confer strength to the bottle.
The isotype is based on the initials of the words into “Corre-Ve-I-Dile”. The “c, v, i, d” together define a kind of character serving wine (head, arms, bottle). Also up-side-down is a crystal wine glass.
The colours red, beige, grey and white came from analogies with the landscape and the wine cellar where “Correveidile” is produced, Rioja Alavesa.
